CKC

2 weeks ago I went with some girls to t
he Creating Keepsakes Convention in Be
llevue.  It was supposed to be a fun little night away but proved to be more eventful.  I got to the Hilton just before noon and grabbed a few things from my car and went straight to catch the shuttle to the convention center.  I went to my classes and then to dinner.  Upon arriving back to the hotel, I went to the car to get my things only to find that they had all been stolen.  My purse (that was smart), my overnight bag and the GPS.  The 100 pound scrapbook tote was still in the back with all the car seats and cereal on the floor.  I was in shock.  I had never had anything stolen like this before.  I spent the next few hours calling card companies and waiting for the police.  I didn't get much scrapbooking done.  Maybe next year will be better.

This is how the robbers got into my car.  Oh did I mention my keys were in my purse.  Dave came that night and picked up the truck to take it home.  We spent Saturday re-keying the house.
Before my purse was stolen I was enjoying classes.  This is Mandy  Douglas-Scrapbooker of the year.  :-)
This is all I had left the next day.  A toothbrush from the front desk and some toothpaste.  The things I will miss the most are-my new flat iron, my handbag, the GPS, my favorite Nike pants, my tweezers, and gosh I guess I could go on and on.

I am glad that you are alright! Sounds a little scary to be honest.
