California

This weekend I flew out to Sacramento to be with my family to celebrate my Grandmas 90th birthday.  We had a great time.  Dave was home with the boys all by himself.  He is so great about giving me breaks to go on mini trips with my friends or family or for work.  :-)  The only part about the weekend that bugged was the airline delays.  I was almost 3 hours late into Sacramento and 5 hours getting back into Dulles.  Oh well.  Some of the weekend highlights included watching my brothers Josh and Jake do wheelchair races in my great grandmother Smiths chair.  We used to play in that when I was about 8 or so.  I was laughing so hard.  Another was shopping.  Yes for me but also my nieces.  I had a blast spoiling them.  We bought nail polish, glitter make up, babies and barbies.  So fun since I never buy that around here.  Another fun time was catching up with some old High School friends Matt Parks and Sean Fisler who live in the area.  Of course seeing Grandma and Grandpa Smart was good too.  My grandma is 90 and Grandpa 96.  They live alone together in the house they built back in 1945 for $7000.  It is fun to visit as it brings back a lot of memories.  Saturday was also my dads birthday.  He is 56 but never seems to look any older to me.  It was fun to be him on his birthday and Fathers day.

What a fun trip! I can't believe you didn't tell me you'd be in Cali, though! I only live a couple hours away from Sacramento, silly! Next time let me know and we can meet up for sure. You look AMAZING by the way- you are one HOT mama! :)

I can't believe how old Jake is. It's seems like he should be so young still. That must have been fun to go to Cali and see all your family. I'm jealous. :)
