Today was a good day. Last night was the first time I felt like maybe I will belong here. A girl we know from church called and told me about a house that was for sale from someone else in the ward. So, I went over, knocked on the door and they gave us a tour. I loved the house!! For the first time Dave could tell I was happy about this place. I spent a couple days driving all over the place and not loving any houses or knowing if that was the town I wanted to live in. So after seeing this place, we decided to make an offer. Today we came to an agreement and we have a contract. The crazy part is that the house was built in 1969. Yep, almost 40 years old. I didn't think I could live in an "old" home however, when it has been remodeled it is like new. So, I am so excited. It has a lot of character. It has all the right rooms for our family including a 400 sf movie room and....a scrapbook room for me. YEAH!!! 3400 sf in all. We will close the end of Aug and move in just in time for school. The best part is, it is 1 mile from all schools, 1 mile from the church, 1 mile to the ball fields, 2 miles to Target and 5 to Microsoft Campus. YEAH!!! We will save money on gas with these commutes. I was post more pictures later but for now these are pictures from the sales flyer. It's not my Virginia home but it will be good.

The house looks great! Glad you found one you like. With all your decoration talent, you can spiffy it up and make it a home. It is super close to everything. Awesome!
Love the house! Can't wait to see more pictures. It looks like it will be a great place to raise your boys. They are going to love the backyard. Can my boys come over and jump on the trampoline?
Okay, Seriously...I just typed a few comments with my boys standing by me and looking over my shoulder. I just left your blog and went to Penny's. When Christopher says, "It kind of makes me sad again." I looked over at him and he was crying. You truly are missed! We love you.
Congrats on finding a new home. It looks beautiful. "old" homes are wonderful, we have one that is 50+ years old, and have remodel now from top to bottom, and I love it!!! Tons of character and details that you don't get with new homes!!! ENJOY!!!!
We can't wait to see more pictures. Katie saw these pictures and said, "I want to live by them". I think that that comment was based soley on the fact that you have a trampoline. I'm glad that you are starting to feel a sense of belonging. I'm just jealous of that scrapbook room. Please send pictures of that so I can torture Waide with them...
I love it!!
I'm so happy for you! I can't wait to see more pictures! Can we come for scrapbook night and see your new room?
I'm so happy you found a house! That will make such a difference! How great that it's so close to everything including Dave's work. Yeah!
The back yard looks great. Your boys will love that! I can't wait to see pictures of the rest of the house. I'm excited for you to have Dave working so close to home. I used to love it when Jeff would call and say "I'm just leaving. I'll see you in 5 minutes." And I'm happy for you to know where you're going to be so you can start getting settled. Hooray for you guys!
Peter thinks the picture of the deck looks like part of Disneyland. Could it get any better than that?
