The Season Has Begun

I love, love, love baseball.  It is so fun to be outside watching the boys.  I think I may be a little excited and the loudest mom in the stands.  Today was a beautiful day at about 70 degrees. Breckin had his first came at 9am.  He is so cute to watch.  His coach pitch team is kids 5-7 years old.   Breckin is the youngest on the team and the smallest.  He should be in T-ball but we skipped ahead.  These games are a little painful to watch as most of the boys still have no idea what is going on.  When Breckin got his first hit he just stood at the plate and luckily the fielding team didn't move either so he had time to get to first.  So cute. He even got the game ball.  He was so excited.   Gavin's game was next at 12.  These games are a little better to watch. This being the first game I think there were some nerves that got the best of them.  They were up 6 to 0 in the 4th and ended up losing.  The other team stole home a few too many times. Gavin started catching and then pitched.  He could only throw 40 pitches or he would have to rest the next game.  Once he was done pitching, the game sort of went downhill for the As.  Still fun.  Now for the sad part... Caleb's game was cancelled.  The weather was great but the night before it had rained so the field he was scheduled to play at was closed.  Caleb was very eager to play so this was a bummer.  He even slept in his uniform belt and all and wore his cup ALL day. (We talked about how this was not necessary)Looking forward to next Saturday when we spend another day out in the sun.(hopefully)  All games are Saturday 9,12, and 6.
