We're Expecting

After 3+ months of research and paperwork we are letting you all know that we are expecting! We have an adoption blog if you are interested in following our story.  It is private so you will need to e-mail me for an invite.  We are adopting 2 boys 0-24 months from Ethiopia.  We couldn't be more excited!!

Ok, so I am a total dork! I was reading this in Google Reader and all I saw was the title. I about had a heart attack. All I could think was "Seriously - on top of adopting". I thought you would think it was funny! You even got me.

I'll call you tomorrow. I can't wait to see who Jason gets rid of tonight.

I am so excited for you guys. Stan and I were pretty close to getting everything in(before we moved here) - but then they had a problem with us going to med school (no income in med school). Abby and Nathan were so disappoingted. They keep reminding us that we will be adopting when dad is done with med school. {We will be trying again After residency.}
My brother David and his wife are finalizing paper work in the next month. They have to narrow it down between Ghana and Guatemala.
Seriously good luck. Our prayers are with you. Stan's brother adopted a little girl from Korea and it is a rollercoaster ride.
Much love.

Wow!! This is really awesome! Congrats on your adoption process. I am very happy that you decided to adopt from Africa. One of the most heart-wrenching scenes for me was when I was in Uganda and a woman came up to the car I was in and was begging for money while holding a toddle boy in her arms...I am pretty sure that he was dying...not only are there orphans due to AIDS but also the genocide that is occuring in Darfur is leaving many children without parents. I will keep you all in my prayers as you move forward in this process. If you run into any trouble, let me know...my boss is close friends with many African Ambassadors including the one from Ethiopia.
