Thanksgiving

A new way to do dinner- Sit down and try to count carbs so you can still eat what you love. Caleb LOVES pumpkin pie. Thanksgiving was his first meal as a diabetic out of the hospital.
This was not the Thanksgiving we were planning. We planned to be in Boise with my family so they could meet Eli and Canon. Instead, we were home. Thankfully, we were invited to some friends. THANK YOU Mike and Amy for taking us in. We knew we would be in the Hospital til Thursday so I was not so excited to make a big meal. My sisters did come and Crystal stepped in the pick up all my crumbling pieces. I love you!! I cried as she left on Sat. She asked,"are you mad at me?" Of course not!! Just mad she isn't my neighbor. The first thing she said when I told her our news of the week was,"when do you want me to come?' She was just here last week to help with the boys. Who doesn't love the people in their lives who step right up and help?!

Dinner was a success. The kids were crazy. We have a lot of them. I am sure we will never be invited to dinner again. :-0

My favorite thing to do after eating is scan the ads. The only thing missing this year was my drive to actually get up and go shopping. I didn't. It is not the same without my VA BFF's. I am sure I saved a lot of money on black Friday this year.

So happy that you all got to spend Thanksgiving together as a family OUT of the hospital. Kudos to Mike and Amy for taking you all in and giving you a great day to be together without the stress of cooking a meal. Your sisters are AWESOME for coming so quickly to help you out.
