ARE YOU SERIOUS
Today we went to church as usual. After the first meeting one of the bishopric members asked to talk to me. Great, a calling already. This is only our 2nd week and I was hoping to lay low for a while. So he asks about my schedule and I say it's open. Then he says they would like to call me to be a ...DEN LEADER. I cover my head in my hands and burst into tears. He proceeds to tell me about all the people I would be working with and the schedule and what not. I would be with the bears (Caleb is a Wolf and Gavin a Weblo) I tell him fine and that was that. Really I was not fine thinking that I am entertaining boys 24/7. Now I get to entertain a few more every Tues. night. I leave and then see Dave tell him the call and leave to the car to cry for the next hour. Now that the night has gone I guess I will be heading off to the scout store for a new shirt. YEAH.

I would cry too! There better be some great inspirational story or moment that comes from this calling to make it all worth it! Good luck!
Ohhh Sierra. You know what we are all thinking, right?! I, like Shauna, just want to see a picture of you in your new shirt! I guess your days of YW are offically over... I can hear your tears from here.

Oh Sierra! I feel your pain! That was my first calling when we moved here! You're good--I refused to by a shirt, but ended up having some fun with it all. I also can't wait to see the picture in your new shirt!
Haha That is exactly how I felt when Dave called me to do singing time in primary. I wanted to cry cry cry. Who knew it would become something I would never get out of. I am still doing singing time :( 4 years later
That was my first calling when we moved here to North Carolina in the summer of 2006. I had never been in scouts before and couldn't understand what they were thinking. I did have Nathan in my den (Bears)so that gave me a chance to be with him. Stan also came to help me sometimes so that was nice also. It turned out to be a good learning experience and I grew to love the boys and scouts. I am glad that I did it - by the way I didn't buy or wear the shirt.
Your not the only one my dear. I am currently the den leader for the bears and the wolfs. We've all taken the summer off, but now it's time to get my/our butts in gear cuz Darin has to do it with me. Was Davey called to do it with you too?
I agree with Shauna & Penny, You need to post a picture of you in your super sexy scout shirt!
