Nothing like picking your kids up from school only to find no kids and police everywhere. I called in to the office and they let me know the school was in lockdown. Kind of crazy with no info. For about 20 minutes they wouldn't let anyone in or out of the school. There were about 8 police cars, 2 helicopters circling overhead, a K9 unit walking about and 4 very armed police men -2 on the corner of the school and 2 at the door. Once I saw kids coming out with parents I went in to get the boys. So I guess there was an armed man at an apartment across the street form the school and they were not messing around. CRAZY. Do I really live in the ghetto?
