Today I was thinking that if I wanted to write a facebook status it would read... I mostly feel like a cute mom and then I climb in or jump out of a 15 passenger van and reality sets back in. Yesterdays would have read...Next time you see me, don't say,"wow you look like you have your hands full" unless you plan on taking a second to help me out. Yesterday at Costco I heard this over and over as I pushed my cart full of kids and pulled a new bike along side me. :-) Last week I was taking Eli and Canon to an audiology appointment and Trenton wanted to come. I said he could but that it would not be fun. He said," Mom you goin to the doctor, you habbin anoder baby?" ahhh NO. Funny that he associated doctor with me having a baby.
So... if you know me very well, you know that I have a serious love hate relationship with candy. I eat candy ALL the time. Dave hates candy and therefore, I feel like I have to sneak it. I hide it in my drawers and in my closet (my mom does this still) I have it in my van and in my purse. I buy it all the time. Well, considering we should only have less than 8 teaspoons a day, I need to stop. So, tomorrow is the day. Cold turkey (like I'm a smoker) I am giving up candy and adding cookies to that for fun. May is National Runners' month. I will run at least 10 miles a week and cut out the sugar. I think it will help me have more energy and be an even more patient mom. :-) Let me know if you want to take up running in May or cut the candy. Ha ha. We have a friend who is a marathon runner and so Dave says I should "go all Jen Rutter". Funny. You rock Jen. Wish I did run like you. Happy last day of April. That's some of my thoughts for now.

I would join you in the no candy thing but...lets just be honest here it helps me be a nice Mom.
Sierra are you sure that cutting out the candy will help you be more patient? I am thinking that eating more candy will help with your patience. That is my philosophy at least. Good Luck!!
You are totally not getting any support in the no candy thing from your blog, but you go girl! Do it for all of us!
Don't you hate the "full hands" comment? How are you supposed to respond to that?
Good luck on the sugar thing. We've been talking about doing a "no treats" week with out whole family but something always seems to get in the way. We were going to do it last week, but Peter was grounded from reading and it just seemed too mean to say "no books AND no candy" in the same week. This week is Mother's Day and I deserve dessert. Maybe we'll try next week. We just need to recalibrate and going for a week without will help everyone realize that we don't need 16 treats a day. I'll let you know how it goes.
Uh, Jen Rutter sneaks candy all day long too! I tried to give it up one day, and I was so light-headed by noon I gave in. The candy eating is why I have to run so much!
Good luck to you! Maybe you will have better results with the cold turkey thing then I did.
( I am eating gummy bears right now. )
