Since Gavins 12th birthday he has really taken to being a Deacon. Each Sunday he is getting us out the door so he will be to church at least 15 minutes early to prepare for passing the sacrament. One Sunday we were running late and I said," What if we are a few minutes late so you don't have to pass today?" He replied, "that is the worst idea ever." Must say I was proud of him and I learned my lesson. He has had a great attitude about scouting as well. (for the most part). At summer camp he earned his first 7 merit badges. At this court of honor- his first, he earned his tenderfoot, second class and first class. We are on a race to Eagle by his 14th birthday. With all the sports we are thinking it will be easier to get it done sooner than later!
