For Calebs 2nd grade field trip we took a walk just up the road from the school to Balls Bluff Battlefield. The boys school is called Balls Bluff Elementary. It is crazy how we actually live on a Civil War battlefield. We spent 5 hours there. They had station on the things they had been learning about- clouds, maps, forest animals (habitats) and living and non living. We had lunch and then a scavenger hunt around the grave yard then took a walk to see the bluff looking to the Potomac River. Caleb is like the class clown. He is always being funny. Everyone likes him. It was fun to spend the day with him.

Don't you just love being the mommy helper on field trips? Unfortunatly I can't ever take my baby anymore and all my family sitters are too far away. Someday I'll get to do it again.
