Another thing - a few days ago we were sitting in the hallway at Gavins school and 2 Mexican boys sat by Eli and Trenton. Trenton points at them and says- he's brown and he's brown. He points at Eli and says he's brown. Eli says I not brown. It's interesting to me how kids see themselves and others. I don't think kids see color except now that I have a 3 year old making these observations based on his new knowledge of colors.

Sarah is VERY interested in skin color and talks about it loudly in public and it's NOT because she is just learning her colors. I'm not really sure what to do about it. I don't care if she notices, but I don't really love her pointing out all the different kinds of skin when we are out and about.
