I have a favorite artist in Gettysburg, PA. After adopting Eli and Canon, I knew I would need an update. I was so excited. For 10 days I waited for the mail to come after Louis had said he mailed the pictures. They came. After looking at the first one I was scared. They are just not as awesome as I was hoping. They are amazing drawings just not as great as the previous 10 minute sketches. I hung them up yesterday and am deciding if I even want to leave tehm in this main hallway or move them downstairs. Either they will grow on me or I will continue to not love them. :( He drew them from pictures. I can tell he spent a lot of time on them and I can appreciate that.

Oh...sorry about that! I know it is always disappointing when you look forward to something and don't really like the result. I had a huge picture of Sammi blown up for her senior picture..it is 20 x 24...then I took it to Michael's to have it framed....big bucks...I was so excited to get it...and when I got it, I am not terribly thrilled with the framing. But I spent so much money on it...I am forcing myself to like it.
They wonderful from what I can see from here! I hope they grow on you, or that you can find someone out there to do them as you want them.
I can't believe how much your boys have grown since you had these done last time. I love them!
I'm a firm believer in first impressions/instincts. Don't MAKE yourself love them if you don't like them, you don't like them. You can still appreciate the work and effort that went in to them but get something you truly love. That's the art collector in me talking....
